IBM Lotus Notes Traveler software is a “push” email solution providing quick access to email (including attachments), calendar, address book, journal and to-do list for Lotus Notes mobile users. This software is free to customers who are up to date with their Domino software license maintenance, and could help your mobile workers respond to the needs of your business more quickly, while continuing to leverage your existing investment in Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino software.
Now supporting Windows Mobile and Symbian, IBM Lotus Traveler eliminates the need for expensive monthly tariffs and puts the choice of handsets back to the users.
IBM Lotus Domino policy based security, encrypted mail and the ability to “clear down” a handset are just some of the enhanced facilities available in 8.5.
Currently the Traveler client is installed via a webpage from your server and we are starting to see handsets coming on to the market place with pre installed Traveler clients (Nokia E72).
