The message from IBM is now very clear, Domino.Doc support ends in September 2011, but you have a path to transition your implementation over to Lotus Quickr or Quickr with Filenet / Content manager using you existing license.
Time Technology have completed the necessary training to become an authorised user of the new IBM Domino.Doc to Quickr migration tool that is soon to be released.
The migration tool allows the mapping of existing library, cabinets, documents and meta data across to a Quickr place.
Options include bringing selected File Rooms, Cabinets, Binders or the whole Library across in one go.
Data migration can be viewed, and edited, before conversion to see how Quickr will store the new data.
For those customers who wish to migrate to another Document Management system, the tool has options to output to these or even a flat file format.
How do you get the tool?
The migration tool is free but IBM have limited the distribution to Business Partners, like Time Technology, who have completed the training.
