Lotus QuickPlace allows users to set up secure web-based “project rooms” that can be shared by team members within and beyond the business. Having this facility to co-ordinate tasks, collaborate on ideas, share documents and communicate decisions and actions enables dispersed teams to work together much more effectively.
Because QuickPlace does not demand that external users buy in to a specific technology, it is easy to extend beyond your own organisation. QuickPlace can be deployed on Windows, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX and IBM iSeries environments. In addition they can be accessed from windows, linux and mac using MS Explorer, Firefox or Mac Safari web browsers.
